Malek Trophies for Australian and New Zealand Game

The Malek Award Committee is excited to announce the introduction of two new trophies starting in 2013: The MALEK TROPHY FOR AUSTRALIAN GAME and the MALEK TROPHY FOR NEW ZEALAND GAME.

The Malek Trophies recognize the importance of Australia and New Zealand as hunting destinations in the South Pacific.

Applicants for the MALEK TROPHY FOR AUSTRALIAN GAME and the MALEK TROPHY FOR NEW ZEALAND GAME are required to take any seven (7) of the species available in Australia and New Zealand, respectively.

No more than one (1) of these species may be taken ranch-style.

All game species submitted for the award of the MALEK TROPHY FOR AUSTRALIAN GAME must be taken in Australia.

All game species submitted for the award of the MALEK TROPHY FOR NEW ZEALAND GAME must be taken in New Zealand.

Games species taken outside of Australia or New Zealand remain eligible for the JJ. MALEK SOUTH PACIFIC GRAND SLAM AWARD or the MALEK GOLDEN AWARD but are not eligible for the MALEK TROPHY FOR AUSTRALIAN GAME or the MALEK TROPHY FOR NEW ZEALAND GAME.

Successful applicants may later apply for the JJ. MALEK SOUTH PACIFIC GRAND SLAM AWARD or the MALEK GOLDEN AWARD provided they meet the requirements of those awards.

Previous winners of the JJ. MALEK SOUTH PACIFIC GRAND SLAM AWARD and the MALEK GOLDEN AWARD are not eligible to apply for the MALEK TROPHY FOR AUSTRALIAN GAME or the MALEK TROPHY FOR NEW ZEALAND GAME.

A $150 application fee applies to each Malek Trophy.

The Malek Trophies will be presented at the Dallas Safari Club Convention in January of each year.
